On CNN, Elliott Spitzer had the senator on last night, and then he an Matt Taibbi of Rolling Stone who was written some great stuff about GS's misconduct, were speaking with Anderson Cooper. Spitzer said he wanted to take on GS when he was NY AG in the early 2000's but was told the feds or another jurisdiction would pursue it and nothing ever came of it. Even now, they said the current Fed AG Eric Holder has made it clear, they don't really want to pursue anything that might put the market in a bad light and result in market volatility and/or decline. This is another way Obama is not that different from the Republicans.
