Anyways, the rep I was speaking to suggested that I simply not pay them and let myself be administratively suspended. I couldn't tell if it was sarcasm or not, but it seems like some people took them up on the offer. I considered it, but then realized that I didn't want my name showing up on this sort of list, causing former classmates to wonder what I got "caught" doing.
I worked with a woman who did this on a regular basis throughout her career.  Every few years when she wanted to practice law again she would pay her fees and then stop paying them and get suspended again.  Do you know if they still charge you the $950 if you're not practicing law at all but say working as a sandwich artist at Subway?  If so that sucks.

Capone, did you have to take the bar ads course?  When I did it in 2007 the info provided by Regulus and GC was drilled into us for about 4 straight weeks.
