You keep claiming that Mr. Awlaki is an al Qaeda commander. The first time Obama made that claim was today, the day when he knew Awlaki would be unable to refute it. Here's Obama: "Awlaki was the leader of external operations for al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula." Obama provided no evidence for this or any other claim.

But here's what really ticked off Obama: "he repeatedly called on individuals in the United States and around the globe to kill innocent men, women and children to advance a murderous agenda." Those actions are no different from what David Brooks, Charles Krauthammer and Tom Friedman do everyday in the US press and they're explicitly protected by the 1st Amendment.
