I was about to suggest the same thing, Minister, but you beat me to it.

The parallel with law is apt. Looking back, I wish I would've considered moving up north to some of the "underserviced" cities and towns in the 705 and above. While there's less population (and therefore, everything else being equal, less files, proportionally), the roads tend to be worse but higher speeds (i.e.: more substantial accidents, proportionally), worse overall weather means a longer slip-and-fall ice and snow season, while damage awards are on par the cost of living isn't anywhere near Toronto levels (!!!), and the bars tend to be more collegial (nothing wrong with Toronto, generally, but smaller bars tend to mean better relationships on both sides of the divide and the bench).

Don't get me wrong- I love my little East York neighbourhood and having Coxwell station (and hence, the entire city) at my doorstep. Still, for what I paid for my place, undoubtedly I could have a giant home, a small cottage on a lake, a ski-doo, a sea-doo and a hella-better commute to work a few hours north of the city.

Also, people who take my sentences and place them in their signature:  BB, what is wrong with you?  IIRC, those douchebags epeeist and Rusto did the same.  WTF?
