Two things:

1). Clay Ruby v. Brian Greenspan:

I've socialized with both Ruby and Greenspan on a number of occasions; for learned senior counsel types, they're both quite amusing, jovial and have a heullva personality. image That said, aren't they noted crim D counsel types? image Lately (eg. Rob Ford conflict saga, etc), are they just taking on civil / admin / municipal / etc. files just forsakes of either pursuing a claim or defending an action because of the high-profile nature of the litigant subjects in said matters??? image

2). PARTNOR AT DAVIES (umm, make that former PARTNOR) convicted of insider trading before the OSC:

In an ideal world, ordinarily shouldn't people go to jail upon conviction for these kinds of sh*t?! image Oh, wait. My bad. This is in Canada. Michael Copeland, Jim Balsillie, et al. all get slap on the wrist by the joke securities regulators instead of having them tried befire the criminal courts. image Thankfully, we have the US DoJ that gets the ball rolling in securing securities related criminal fraud convictioons against dengerates by the likes of Black, Drabrinsky and their ilk.  Canada is a complete joke and a half!

PS --- LOL @ the decision. The PARTNOR's reported income for 2007 was close to $1M CAD. LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! image
