Let's say a corporation that provides abortions in New York wasn't happy with the way a Tennessee Republican worked to prevent their expansion to his state. The NY corporation spins off a wholly-owned corporation registered to a post-office box in the Caymans. The Cayman Corp. is capitalized with just enough funds to pay for some memorable ads that make the completely (OK, maybe partially) untrue claim that said politician took a wide stance in the public washrooms. Now what? Who's he going to sue? How can he establish who even paid for the ads?
